Our friends at Słoma&Trymbulak are redesigning their website and asked us for help. The site for their show The Atelier of Taste is a place to find vegan, gluten-free recipes and other information about their cooking venture. They wanted to add something to the website that would make it more unique. We suggested (among other things) adding photographs of their logo arranged of products they use in their kitchen: mostly fruit and vegetables, spices and such. We wanted to create three different color versions of the logo, each time using completely different products.
As we are random and casual cooks who can’t tell lentils from parsley* we asked J&M to suggest a selection of products to use in the photos. Instead of a mere suggestion we were delivered a whole carton of various interesting looking – and smelling – things and spent an unusual afternoon arranging them into the shape of the logo (and sampling some of them, too), photographing them and then cleaning up the mess. It was fun, too, except we needed to hurry to finish the whole session during our son’s nap because we were taking the photos in our kitchen and it would’ve been really hard to keep him from stealing such exciting things as mini-bananas and super spicy peppers. However, we managed, so please enjoy the results.
The logo in spicy red (sweetened by some raspberries).
Cereal-inspired, calming beige and brown version. (Only the red one is half-edited, as you can probably tell. The other versions are straight-from-the-camera yet.)
Fresh green with vegetables and herbs.
*Okay, we can probably tell those apart. But don’t test us.
