Do you know it’s been over five years since we first published our series Iconic TV Shows? Our style has changed somewhat since then and lots of those shows are no longer remembered or they also changed completely. Time flies.
Still, it’s one of our favorite – and definitely longest running – projects and we like adding new posters to the series. This year one of our biggest TV discoveries (well, “discovery” is a big word for a show everybody and their aunt saw before us) was the series pictured below and so we proudly add it to the collection.
And if you’re in love with Hawkins and want a bit of it on your wall, you can buy our poster here (also available as various other products) and here.
(And here for your convenience links to all the rest of them on bza – and they’re also on Society6.)
A (long) while ago we started one of our favorite series of just-for-fun designs with 15 posters that condensed TV shows into three icons so that you could guess or not what the given show was. It looked like this:
and you can find the original post here.
In the meantime we have watched some more TV and designed (for now) three more posters to guess. This time it’s for three real classics and, to be precise, we only watched two of these recently (and we really hope you know us well enough by now to know which we did not spend hours and hours watching, not since we were ten anyway). So, for your guessing pleasure (answers underneath, should you need them):
As with all the previous posters, you can buy your own copy in our stores here and here. We’ll be also adding other things (like phone cases and stuff later).
And here are the answers (even though you probably know by now):
1. Friday Night Lights
3. Gilmore Girls
Last time we confessed our love for TV shows and today, celebrating the return of one of our favorites for season two (we won’t say the name not to spoil the riddle but you know which one we mean, of course), a post combining our two loves: shows and icons.
Below a set of 15 shows each presented through three icons for your guessing pleasure. We realize that most of these are ridiculously easy if you’re a TV-maniac (and possibly very difficult if you’re not, who knows) but boy, were they fun to work on. (And yes, we’ve seen all these shows, at least a couple of episodes but often quite a lot of them.)
Under each poster there is an answer in white: you have to highlight it to read.
New! Now we’re selling the posters here.
Game of Thrones (yes, it’s back tomorrow)
Sex and the City
Parks and Recreation
Once Upon a Time
Greek (though I get why many people think it’s Big Bang Theory)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Edit. We’re very happy and honored to have been Freshly Pressed. Sorry we can’t answer to all the comments but we appreciate all of them and all the likes: it’s very motivating.
New developments: Iconic Painters, part one, two and three.
